FAB Beauty cosmetics for tweens {Review & Giveaway} 3 winners!

Every day when I'm getting ready to leave, Big Sister E stands and watches me (and narrates) while I brush my teeth, comb my hair and put on my makeup. Particularly the makeup part.

Unblinking, she watches as I go through my routine and, without fail, constantly asks if I will put some on her, too. Considering I've seen more information than I would like on the ingredients that go into cosmetics, usually all she ends up with is a light dusting of powder across her cheeks and that manages to make her happy.

Therefore, when I heard there is a collection of eye, nail, lip, face, hair, body and bath products designed specifically to make tween girls feel beautiful that is completely safe, I knew that even though my little diva has a few years until she's technically a tween, she would be fascinated. And when a selection of items (shown at right) from FAB Beauty showed up, her excitement could barely be contained.

What followed can only be described as a sparkling, sassy, fabulously good time.


Accounting for more than $40 billion in spending power, tween girls are major players when it comes to marketing cosmetics. They look for fun, fashion and style and want to be just like the older sisters and friends they look up to. However, along with wanting products that are safe for their tween, parents focus on two things: age-appropriateness and price.

FAB Beauty has all three aspects fully covered, as their makeup and bath products follow strict Quality Control protocols and have passed multiple tests, easily fit this age group (from the colors to the packaging) and, because they are found exclusively at Walmart, they are more than affordable. Starting at 98¢, the most expensive FAB Beauty products are only $14.98 - and those are large gift sets! With most items only costing a few dollars, this line will definitely not break the bank.

I love the idea of picking up FAB Beauty items for birthdays or as party favors, not to mention how much fun they would be at a slumber party. I know that painting our nails, sticking on tattoos and sparkling with glitter were all things that I loved doing at that age with my friends as we stayed up late giggling into the night.

For $5.98 we could have been ultra-glamorous with the Sha Sha Shimmer Set or truly chic with the Pamper Pedi Nail Set. So fun! FAB Beauty even has cute party ideas right on their website, complete with invitations to download and a party checklist to make sure you don't miss any of the essentials in becoming fab!

Even though for Big Sister E, her time now with FAB Beauty products was clearly just make-believe and dress-up, she still had a great time. I'm sure that when she's older and it's more appropriate for her to wear makeup, this line of cosmetics will be perfect. Who knows, maybe she'll do a little better of a job applying it then, too.

The streak of blue eyeshadow across her nose and the mounds of glitter that ended up in her hair instead of on her face are my favorites.
