The PlasmaCar from PlaSmart provides kid-powered fun for all ages {Review & Giveaway} ARV $70

I have a hard time not rolling my eyes when I hear Big Sister E say, "This doesn't work, Mama. It needs new battewies." Not because she can't pronounce batteries (that part actually makes me laugh), but because that just means another light-up, noise-making toy is going to require even more money invested in it.

However, now that she has the ultimate in entertaining, kid-powered, top-of-the-line toys, there's no need to worry about that anymore. Instead of wanting to sit and press buttons, she wants to laugh and have fun with her PlasmaCar from PlaSmart.


Using the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity and friction, the PlasmaCar needs only one source of energy to run it: kids! Engineered and extensively tested to be absolutely safe, this unique car arrives disassembled but took me less than 5 minutes before I was able to hop on and go for a ride around my kitchen. As it can handle up to 220 pounds on a smooth, flat surface (and up to 120 pounds on a rough, flat surface) I was easily able to take an extended test drive before Big Sister E's nap was over and she took over the controls.

Designed for children ages 3 and up, I was concerned that Big Sister E, who isn't always the most coordinated child, might not be able to get the hang of driving our PlasmaCar and would be frustrated. However, all I had to tell her was to move the handle back and forth and she jumped on and was heading down the block!


Aside from Big Sister E talking and laughing, all that I could hear from the PlasmaCar was the sound of the wheels rolling on the pavement. No fake horn, no character voices, just some birds chirping and my child's happiness. Really, what could be better than that?

As well as her obvious enjoyment and exercise, I love that the PlasmaCar is completely safe while still giving Big Sister E a thrill. The wide, sturdy base didn't come close to tipping over, no matter how many times she ran off into the grass or turned the wheel sharply. And because your feet are placed comfortably on the sides, there's no worry about not being able to put them down on the ground when it comes time to stop.

Building on the success of the PlasmaCar, PlaSmart has a whole line of innovative, smart and simple toys. Any child would have a great time exploring and learning with the soft and squishy Rubbadu or their new and innovative Yummy Dough.
