Ming Wang Little Black Dress {Review & Giveaway}

Even though I spend the majority of my days in either jeans or sweats, that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate high quality, timeless articles of clothing as well. Sometimes it's nice to have an occasion to dress up a little bit, you know?

For me, one such event occurred this past summer when I went to BlogHer 2010 and spent a few days in New York City basking in the experience... and getting to wear something that would actually be seen by others. Fortunately, in the time leading up to the event, I received an email from the amazing people over at Ming Wang who wanted to make sure that when I got on the airplane that my bag would contain at least a few pieces that were stylish and chic.

Founded in 2000, Ming Wang is known for their luxurious statement pieces, as well as stylish basics, that work for women of all ages and body types. With the ability to transition from day to night, each collection incorporates the latest color trends with classic neutrals so that they are perfect for building your wardrobe and can always be worn season after season.

For BlogHer, Ming Wang sent me a 3-piece set that could be worn together or as separates to mix and match with other items of clothing that I already owned.

Simple, elegant and completely versatile, I couldn't believe how well these Ming Wang garments held up to traveling. Having heard that the Amica yarn that Ming Wang knits are created out of is non-fading, wrinkle-resistant, shape retentive and machine washable (a must), they really proved it by the fact that I could unroll them out of the suitcase and have them immediately ready to wear.

So, when Ming Wang offered to make me stylish once again with a classic Little Black Travel Dress, how could I say no?

This sleeveless, lightweight dress is made out of 100% filament acrylic and, on its own, has a minimal, clean, straight look. Comfortable and silky without at all being clingy, this sheath can easily be casual with a denim jacket and some sandals, stylish with a scarf, heels and a colorful bag or professional with a jacket and pumps.

It only took me a minute or two to pull a few items out of my closet and I already had three completely different looks for this great dress. What a great piece to have for almost any occasion!

Recognized for its knit separates and bold graphic styles, Ming Wang pieces are great for any age woman who is looking for a little effortless sophistication. Great as business attire that can be changed over into evening wear by removing a jacket or adding some jewelry, their collection does cost more than the typical clothing you might find but is a great case of "you get what you pay for."
