If you haven't already, check out our introduction and review of many of Infantino's innovative Annabel Karmel feeding accessories - even though my daughters are past the homemade baby food stage, we've still been enjoying these great products!
As well as freezing, storing, transporting and eating the tasty foods that we made with the Double Decker Mealbox, 6 Stackable Food Pots, Freeze Tray and Fill & Freeze Puree Pops, we couldn't wait to try the rest of these high quality products. This time we first pulled out the Fresh Food Mill.
The Annabel Karmel Make It Easy Food Mill is perfect for making your own smooth purees for feeding and weaning your baby. Ideal for fruits and vegetables, this mill gets rid of tough fibers that are difficult to digest in foods like dried apricots and corn but is also great for pureeing foods such as a potato. As opposed to a blender that breaks down the starches and produces a sticky texture, turning this crank by hand makes it easy to puree and mince to a customized, perfect consistency.
I really like the way that the pieces of the Fresh Food Mill pull apart easily and make it a cinch to put the food right inside. In the past I've only tried making baby food with a blender, so I was surprised at how convenient and handy I found that this way was. And of course being BPA free and dishwasher safe, I didn't have to to worry about chemicals or clean up, two things that are big pluses when it comes to the kitchen and the foods I give to my kids!
Another easy to use item for making baby food at home or on the go is the Annabel Karmel Mash & Serve Bowl.
I really like the portability of this bowl and how easy it would be to toss this in the diaper bag and be ready to smoosh and mix up banana, avocado, peach, pear or more whenever or wherever you sit down to a meal. I used to grab a fork and make a little mess trying to get things ready for Big Sister E or Little Sister B to eat, but by being able to use the included handheld masher and bowl, this would have made things faster and cleaner for all of us.
At home, this would have been great to mash up soft fruits or steamed vegetables as well when it wasn't as necessary to have a smooth puree. Big Sister E was a huge fan of mashed banana when she was a baby and I would have loved to stick one in this BPA free bowl, easily moosh it down for her to eat and then stick the whole thing in the dishwasher afterward.
Finally, one of the items that we have really enjoyed using, the Steam Release Micro Dish, is one that can be used from the time you have a baby through... well, adulthood.
As cooking food in a microwave is a great way to retain all of the nutrients, I love having this dish for a fast and easy way to make a side dish for my kids. With the lid's easy valve system to let the steam out, I simply filled it with broccoli (Little Sister B's favorite) and some water and stuck it in the microwave for five minutes. The result was a hot, perfectly cooked portion of healthy vegetables for me to transfer right to her plate (or let her eat directly out of the bowl).
With the ability to close the valve completely for airtight storage, any leftovers can go right into the refrigerator or freezer until next time. Plus, as with all of Infantino's products, clean up of this BPA free dish and lid are a snap by sticking them into the dishwasher.
Of course, with Little Sister B's appetite, her plate was clean of broccoli within minutes so I didn't have to worry about those leftovers.

The products look amazing. Running a daycare they would be so handy for the small kids. I feel like I have to cook so many different things for them.
I like how their items are BPA free and can go in the dishwasher. The dishwasher was my best friend was my son was an infant. Between baby care and exhaustion, dishwasher safe items are a must!
