Turbie Twist {Review & Giveaway}

As a mom of two young kids there really are only a few times during the day when I'm not multi-tasking.

During meals I'm usually refilling glasses, getting the next course or reminding someone to not use their fork to drum on the table while I eat. When we're getting ready to leave the house, I'm typically encouraging shoes going on the correct feet, searching for a lost mitten or zipping up coats at the same time that I'm checking that my bag is packed with the essentials.

Even from the minute I step out of the shower, I'm trying to referee over a treasured toy or retrieve a lost stuffed animal all while trying to get dried off and dressed. Fortunately, multi-tasking while doing all that has gotten immensely easier and more comfortable around here thanks to the innovation and ease of the Turbie Twist.
Don't be mistaken, Turbie Twist is the original extra-absorbent twist and loop towel made especially for your hair. Instead of figuring out how to wind and balance a traditional bath towel on your head (which only works until you bend slightly and then it all topples down), the Turbie Twist's innovative design allows it to fit securely and stay in place for as long as you need it.

A simple concept that has turned into a revolutionary product.

Right out of the box and it is easy to see that this isn't another rectangular towel. The long, tapered, cone-like design is made from 100% cotton velour and allows you to place it on your head and tuck your hair right inside. Unless you have extremely long hair, this one-size-fits-all style is perfect for everyone - even kids!

Step 1: hang hair forward and place it into the opening of the Turbie Twist. Follow that with Step 2: twist all of the excess fabric until the portion on your head is as tight as you prefer.

Step 3 involves the smart addition of the elastic loop on the back of the Turbie Twist. Simply tuck the end of the twisted fabric right into the loop and it locks the entire thing into place so that you can get dressed, brush your teeth, apply your makeup, wonder why your 2-year-old is pulling on multiple pairs of your underwear over her clothes, etc. You name it, the Turbie Twist lets you do it all while drying your hair.

Taking a total of maybe 10 seconds to put in place, I immediately felt as though my time multi-tasking right out of the shower had gotten immensely easier. The Turbie Twist is so lightweight and comfortable that I almost forgot it was there and no matter how much I moved and bent, it stayed strong.

I really liked being able to pull a shirt on over the Turbie Twist and not have to worry about having dripping wet hair down my back or continually wrapping a towel on and off of my head. Plus, as well as being incredibly simple to use, I hadn't expected the microfiber to be able to dry my hair as well as it did. It really pulled the water away quickly while keeping my hair manageable and ready to be styled whenever I was ready. What a great combination!

For a functional, innovative, affordable (prices are around $9.99 for a two-pack), extremely convenient (machine washable!) and very versatile way to hold your hair up and out of the way (the Turbie Twist is also great for keeping your hair dry while soaking in the tub!), this is one product that I plan on giving a permanent place in my bathroom. Such a simple design but such a useful result!
