Stylish and Comfortable Shoes for Women: POE Footwear {Review & Giveaway}

While filling out a questionnaire about shoes recently, I got to the query asking if I was willing to sacrifice comfort for style... and it made me pause.

Had this been ten years ago, the answer would have easily been yes. When you're young and all that matters is fashion and appearance, of course I would have been willing to put my feet through a little pain so that they would look good.

But, now? For a special occasion I will possibly pull out a pair of shoes that leave my feet feeling sore and uncomfortable, but that's about it. When I'm out and about I'm typically focused on far too many other things to have time to deal with aching arches or scrunched toes.

So although for some women's footwear brands choosing comfort might also mean choosing frumpy, that's not always the case. Not when POE Footwear has so many fashionable and fun options that leave your feet feeling pampered and coddled.

I, for one, knew that my standard jeans and t-shirts would never be the same when paired with the new Kaya Scrunch Ballet flats.

I'm pretty sure that I've never tried on a pair of leopard print shoes before, so when I first saw these I thought it would take me a little while to get used to the idea.

And then I tried them on.

Okay, wow.

POE includes a Dual Density Core-Comfort System into their footwear, resulting in an extremely comfortable, contoured footbed that even has a layer of memory foam for added cushion. Even though these appear as flats, they have built up arch support and a soft, flexible construction that leads to a custom fit to your foot. There are even textured rubber soles to avoid any slipping indoors or out.

Even with the amazing comfort, I was still hesitant at first about the print... until I put the Kaya Scrunch Ballet on with jeans and looked down. Whether running errands or heading out for a night on the town, these manage to have the look of a stylish flat while giving me the feel of a tennis shoe.

And who's to say that a little rowwrrrrr of the leopard print isn't just what my possibly-boring outfits needed anyway?

For a way to be stylish and trendy while still enjoying the comfort of an athletic shoe, POE has found a way to infuse support, fashion, and fun into my wardrobe with their innovative footwear. No matter if I'm walking long distances or just running to the store, these shoes have continued to fit great and have left my feet dry and cool. I'm really looking forward to wearing them out more as the weather gets warmer!
