One of the topics of conversation that my immediate family has learned to not bring up (usually) is commenting on the state of my daughters' hair. I know that they want to, I think they've just gotten the message that it's pointless.
Yes, both girls need haircuts and are constantly pushing loose strands out of their faces, but for now that is the way that it is going to be. Big Sister E gets a trim now and again but is adamant that she likes her long hair and Little Sister B... well... I haven't worked up the courage that it is going to take in order to get her to sit still in a chair and have a stranger come at her with scissors.
Let's just say that the level of screaming that will ensue may take away the remaining hearing that I have.
So, for now, I keep a lookout for our go-to stylish alternative: hair clips. I love finding places to get great handmade clips and accessories at affordable prices that just have that extra something to make them special. And our newest favorite? The color, fashion, and beauty found at Everything Blooms.
With a line of handmade hair accessories, shoe clips, and handbags that are not only adorable but have the cutest packaging around, Everything Blooms impressed me from beginning to end.
When I opened the envelope that arrived, I was immediately greeted with colorful, cute paper that would make these Blooms perfect for gift-giving... if I had been willing to give them away.
Unwrapping the Hair Blooms and Shoe Clip Blooms was just as exciting as I knew it would be after having seen the pictures in this Etsy shop - they're so fun!
Along with the lively colors of the cotton fabric, the addition of the "stem" on these hair clips makes them such a great idea for decoration as well as use. I couldn't help but see how cute they looked "planted" in our yard...
...and I really love the idea of using these Blooms in centerpieces or as part of the decor for a birthday party or baby shower. How cute would it be to have a pot on each table and have the mom-to-be get to keep the clips for her future little girl?
But of course eventually I had to remove the Hair Blooms from their stems and try on the Shoe Clip Blooms to see how great they all looked when worn.
The result? SO cute!
Both clips are not only skillfully handcrafted but finished just right with great attention to detail. Each seam of the flowers and petals are crisp and clean and the entire addition is securely attached to the clip with no chance of it falling off (even if Big Sister E or Little Sister B aren't as gentle as they should be).
The Shoe Clips are a completely new idea for me, as I haven't come across such a versatile accessory before. Simply open the durable clip on the back...
...and you're ready to add something special to any pair of heels, flats, flip flops or more. Or, if your shoes are already dressy enough, clip these Blooms right on to a headband, hair tie, purse, dog collar or more! Pretty much anywhere that your life could use a colorful pick-me-up, these Clips are there!
Take a plain pair of sandals...
...and turn them into something adorably unique in just seconds! I had wondered if the back of the clip would bother or rub against my feet, but it doesn't at all. They stay strongly in place and look great without me even noticing that they're there!
The girls and I are still just as excited about the Hair Blooms and Shoe Clip Blooms as the day that they arrived. They're just so unique and beautiful and have the ability to add a touch of individual style to any little girl's hair or mom's shoes or purse.
With so many colors and designs available for all of Everything Bloom's creations, there are sure to be quite a few that catch your eye. Whether shopping for yourself, your child, a gift, a special occasion or just to add the perfect touch to your upcoming family pictures, this shop has it all!
Hair Blooms retail between $4.50 and $5.00 per clip (depending on the size) and a pair of Shoe Clip Blooms range from $8.50 - $9.50. As well as their website, Everything Blooms can also be found on Facebook for the latest and greatest from this hot Etsy shop.
(Other than the Hair Blooms and Shoe Clip Blooms that I received from Everything Blooms to facilitate my review, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this review in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this company and their super-cute products.)
