Fun in the Sun #4: Mamas & Papas Morph Baby Carrier {Giveaway}

Big Sister E was born in the fall 4½ years ago and I can still remember that when that first spring rolled around, the two of us were both just so ready to get out of the house.

On a mission to design the best baby carrier on the market, Mamas & Papas didn't just use their own ideas, they first asked lots of moms and dads to tell them what they really wanted. The resulting Morph is a unique, tailor-made concept that provides a choice of two different sized Parent Harnesses with one Baby Pod, allowing you and your baby a perfect fit and making it easy for parents to share the load.

Starting with the Parent Harness, this is the first baby carrier that I've seen that allows the adult to choose a size for a custom fit. Available in small/medium (for up to a 31" waist) and medium/large (for up to a 51" waist), the Harness has just about every features that I can think of to make it easy to wear and have the parent be as comfortable as possible:

• Put it on and take it off like a jacket, making it quick and easy to use
• Lumbar support contoured to fit and distribute weight evenly
• Wide ergonomic straps and padding that provide maximum comfort and evenly distribute baby's weight across parent's back and hips
• One handed adjustable straps around the parent's waist and shoulders

As the Parent Harness can be purchased separately, buying a second one makes it possible for both parents to share and enjoy the closeness and warm reassurance that Morph provides their baby without having to remove or resize the complete baby carrier. How convenient!

As for the multi-adjustable Baby Pod (made for babies approximately 7.7 - 33lbs), it also offers a wide range of features in conjunction with the Morph Parent Harness. First, a five point fixing system adjusts as baby grows and ensures easy attachment and removal from the harness, thus reducing the possibility of waking your sleeping baby when taken off... and all parents know that waking a sleeping baby is up there on the list of NEVER DO.

Using state-of-the-art cushioned fabrics, the sculpted Baby Pod ensures ergonomic support and ultimate, ventilated comfort for baby and can be worn in both forward and rear facing positions. There is even a five-position head and back support system that can be extended to grow right along with your baby and an adjustable leg and waist feature for a perfect fit every time.

A few of the extra features that Morph has that I haven't seen on other baby carriers before are the unique hand sleeve for easy fitting and peace of mind, the ability to bring your baby's head closer to you by sliding the head straps up and down, and visual indicators that show that you have made straps on both sides equal - I can see where Mamas & Papas really incorporated the ideas and suggestions they received from parents!

Add to that the four great colors that the Baby Pod comes in and the fashionable and high quality accessories available to go with it (such as luxury liners or a raincover), and it is easy to see why this baby carrier is getting so much attention.
