Fun in the Sun: The Orchid Boutique Designer Swimwear {Review}

With the heat that we've been experiencing lately, I have finally been able to pack away some sweatshirts and flannel pajamas and start to take stock of the tank tops and shorts that have been in the depths of my closet for months.

Along with those are the often-dreaded swimsuits. Sigh.

After having two children, I'm much more particular about the swimwear that I choose... because my days of lounging on the beach in a bikini are definitely a thing of the past. But that doesn't means that I want to look frumpy or dull, right? After all, being a mom doesn't mean that I have completely lost my sense of style, does it?

When I came upon the Badgley Mischka swimwear collection, I knew I had found a line that was classic and modern at the same time. With added touches like ruching and draping, I was instantly drawn to the timeless elegance that these swimsuits seemed to have.

When the Badgley Mischka Draped Black One Piece arrived, I was thrilled to see that it looked just as amazing in person as it did online.

Reminding me of a designer gown that would be seen on the red carpet, this swimsuit features a draped design below the bustline that not only provides an attractive look but a very flattering way to hide any flaws along the midsection.

The thick shoulder straps are strong and secure and the full coverage along the rear ensures that I don't feel like I will be exposed when out swimming, playing with my kids or just relaxing on a lounge chair.

I love this swimsuit! As well as the really gorgeous fabric draping and the great fit throughout the front and back, I also appreciate the built-in support in the top for added comfort and security.

Using the convenient size chart right on The Orchid Boutique, I found that this Badgley Mischka swimsuit does run quite true to size as they suggested. By using their traditional chart along with their "Quick glance" chart that included pants and cup sizes, I was able to ensure that I would be happy wearing this great suit all summer long!

I couldn't be more excited about having the Draped Black One Piece as a part of my swimwear wardrobe, it really is perfect for pulling out for just about any beach or pool occasion. Retailing for $108, it costs more than what I might typically pay for a swimsuit, however, I can see this lasting for years to come and really getting a lot of use out of it.
