Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pad {Review}

After the long wait for summer to get here, I feel like things quickly changed to it being far too hot for comfort. Who can enjoy being outdoors when the heat index is over 100°?

However, that doesn't mean that when I see people out and about with their sun-kissed skin and glowing tans that I'm not a little jealous. I don't want to look like I'm as pale as can be, but I also know the damaging effects that being in the sun can have... so the question always centers on finding a way to have the best of both worlds.

After having tried a variety of sunless tanners in the past, I was happy to be introduced to Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare and his much-talked about Alpha Beta Glow Pad.

The only anti-aging, exfoliating sunless tanner that contains active Vitamin D (the sun vitamin) to provide smoother, healthier skin and natural radiance year-round, Dr. Deniis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pads have been popping up everywhere. From the Today Show to awards from InStyle and Elle magazines and more, this is one product that is making news wherever it goes.

Does my skin need exfoliation? Yes. Could it also use help with having tighter pores, less blackheads, and a minimized appearance of existing sunspots? Sure. Combine all those into an easy-to-use wipe that can give me a streak-free glow to cover the fact that I'm indoors hiding from the UV rays? Now we're talking!

Opening up one of the individually-wrapped (and great for travel) Glow Pads, right away I liked the ease of application. No sprays to avoid getting all over, no lotions to goop out onto my hands, just a single, odorless wipe that can be used nearly anywhere on your body.

I felt that the size was slightly small for really trying to cover larger areas or your full body, but they were definitely perfect for the face, neck, or arms. Just open it up and smooth them on!

Using circular motions on clean, dry skin, I found that the Alpha Beta Glow Pad really did take turn my regular color into something... enhanced. Nothing drastic or orange-tinted, just a bit of a warmer tone than usual. If I increased how often I used the Glow Pads, my golden glow became a little darker and if I decreased them, it slowly began to fade - but in a non-blotchy, natural way.

Overall, I've really enjoyed this innovative product! I end up with brighter, more radiant skin while it is able to benefit from the Vitamin D and anti-aging, exfoliating aspects. I'm left with the ability to not feel as self-conscious about putting on makeup to try to give my face a boost or glow all the while knowing that Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is cruelty-free, paraben-free, and vegan-friendly.

Retailing on SkinCareRx.com for $32 for a box of 20, the Alpha Beta Glow Pads are a little more expensive than many sunless tanners that you'll find on the market, but the streak-free ease-of-use and resulting smooth, healthier-looking skin year-round just might be worth it if you are looking to quickly get rid of the ghostly paleness like me.

(Other than the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads that I was sent from SkinCareRx.com, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this review in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this product and its results.)

I wonder how long they stay moist in the packets after buying but before opening them. That's my only concern.
