dENiZEN Jeans By Levi's {Review}

Having lost 25 pounds this year, there have been a whole lot of pros (obviously) and one con to my new and improved body: my wardrobe.

Now that I weigh less and am wearing a smaller size than I've worn in years (if ever), I've had to clear out a large portion of my closet for items that actually fit.

It's a rough life, I know.

When it comes to shopping for clothes, however, there are some that are much easier to pick out than others. Although brands vary, a blouse from one store is generally the same as a blouse from another. But jeans? They not only vary between brands but within the same one as well - why is it that this must-have item is so difficult to find... not to mention quite often has such a big price tag to go along with it?

Fortunately, the people who invented jeans, Levi's, have introduced a new line of denim that provides fit, fashion and affordability for the entire family in their new dENiZEN jeans.

Found exclusively at Target stores and on Target.com, dENiZEN jeans are well-crafted with an attractive, comfortable fit for kids and adults. Having successfully launched this summer to rave reviews, these jeans combine premium fabrics and finishes but won't break the bank with their price range of $17.99 - $29.99.

Available for women in sizes 2-18, men in sizes 29"-42" W and 30"-34" L, and girls and boys in sizes 4-20, there is a cut, wash and style that is sure to fit your preference. Considering that my post-baby body doesn't need slim cuts or low rises, I was excited to see how the dENiZEN Mid-Rise Boot Cut jeans would work for me.

Right away I liked the very dark wash of these jeans, as they're much darker than any others in my wardrobe, and go great with the extra softness of the fabric. Instead of stiff, need-to-be-broken-in jeans, these felt as though they were ready to be pulled on for a great fit right from the start.

When it came time for the first test, I put on my dENiZEN jeans and was impressed with the stretch and way that they felt as though they curved right to my body. The length is just on the slightly long side, but that's exactly how I prefer my jeans (plus I'm short, so pretty much all pants are long on me). This way I'll be able to wear them with heels or boots in the winter and they won't be inches away from the ground!

Initially I thought the Mid-Rise seemed high, but once I had them on I loved it! Somehow Levi's has managed to find just the right height for these jeans that they don't feel as though they're too high, yet they perfectly cover my mom pooch just right and give a great slimming effect. Who doesn't want that in their jeans?

I'm really happy with my dENiZEN jeans and have been able to wear them comfortably when running around with my kids as well as with a dressier top to head out to dinner. Considering that these jeans are made to promise "the optimism and confidence that stems from looking and feeling great," I appreciate that I now have a pair of jeans that can keep up with my active life while providing style as well as value. I'm definitely planning to keep an eye out for more dENiZEN styles at Target!
