1. Make exercise out of everything - park further away in the parking lot, take the stairs, belly dance while brushing your teeth, speedwalk back to the car...
2. Eat a healthy and full of FIBER breakfast and lunch. I use oatmeal liberally sprinkled with ground flax for breakfast.
My best tip is to move! If you give up on your body, it will get the hint and it will give up on you!

I used to just not buy the junk food so it wouldn't be in the house but that's when i was single. Now my husband, my kids and I each have our own snack cupboards. I make sure my cupboard is filled with healthy and tasty snacks.

What works best for me- up day / down days. I go into it more on our cooking blog Divas Cuisine, but basically one day you eat heavy the next light. Your body doesn't get used to a particular calorie count and so it doesn't reach a comfortable set point or go into starvation mode on your down days and burns the calories more effectively in my experience. A big reason it is so easy for me is because there is no sense of deprivation at all- the most you will have to wait to have something you are craving is 24 hours.

Keep track of everything you eat within a 24 hour period. You will probably be amazed at all you've eaten! You can use that info to begin reducing food intake or replace with lower calorie foods like crisp, fresh vegetables.

My best tip is to keep a food journal in which you accurately document everything that you have eaten or drunk. Sometimes just knowing you have to write it down will help your resist temptation.
