Considering that Little Sister B has yet to meet a meal that doesn't result in just as much of it on the floor as in her mouth, let's just say that our carpet has seen better days.
It seems that no matter what I do, there continue to be spots and stains appearing on the floor throughout the day. As much as I'd like to say that I immediately get down and start scrubbing them... it just doesn't happen. From the mud to the marker to the jelly, most any mom can agree that stain-fighting is a full-time job.
Fortunately, BISSELL has made it much easier and more convenient to prevent new spots (or remove old ones) with their Stomp 'N Go Stain Lifting Pads.
With the ability to permanently remove tough set-in stains like red wine, food stains, fruit juice, pet messes, dirt, coffee, blood and more, BISSELL Stomp 'N Go Stain Lifting Pads are one of the most innovative and simple cleaners I've seen.
Arriving in box a containing five individually-packaged pads, the instructions on the back made it clear that the name Stomp 'N Go is quite an accurate description - you really just lay them over the stain, stomp, and go!
I really appreciated that each of the pads are packaged individually, as then there is never any worry that by opening the container that the rest will dry out. Simply open one if you need one, two if you need two, etc, and you're ready to clean just the amount of soiled carpet that needs it.
I was slightly skeptical as I opened the first Stain Lifting Pad, as the thought that all I needed to do was step on this 4" x 8.25" pre-moistened pad and then leave it there seemed almost too easy. However, I'm willing to try just about anything that can help take the work out of cleaning, so it was time to put these to the test!
Fortunately I had the perfect time in mind, as having Big Sister E's fifth birthday party at our house meant that there would be an extra 40 people in and out on the carpet - and often holding food and drinks. What better time to not worry about stains!
BISSELL wasn't going to make me to add any more spots to my own carpet to test the effectiveness of their Stomp 'N Go Pads, so prior to the party I laid out the provided samples that they sent along, complete with grape juice stains already in place.
But that seemed far too easy, so I had to add my own variations just to make sure that BISSELL was prepared to take on more than juice.
Because my husband expressed doubt that the stains on the carpet truly were grape juice (he doubts just about everything), I added my own grape juice to the first carpet sample, strawberry jam to the second, marinara tomato sauce to the third, and ketchup to the fourth.
After giving it all a good rub to really set in the stains, I opened the Stomp 'N Go Pads and found that they were much thicker than I had expected.
Placing them with the wet side down, I laid one pad on each of the stains (as well as a fifth one on an old purple-colored stain on our carpet) and was almost ready to let them go to work.
All that was left? Stomping, of course!
After having a few young party attendees have fun stomping on them, right away I could see the stains beginning to absorb into the pads and I was still extremely pleased that there was no scrubbing or effort involved on my part. BISSELL recommends leaving the pads for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours for tough stains, so I walked away to enjoy the party and let them do their job.
After 30 minutes I took a peek and saw that although there truly had been a difference, that the stains hadn't been completely eliminated. So why not leave them longer when all they're doing is sitting there?
Nearly 24 hours later, it was time for the final results:
Although the purple stain on my carpet didn't seem to change all that much, the eight food stains were noticeably lighter or gone completely from the previous day.
Here are closer shots of the Before and After for each stain:
Grape juice stains are no match for the BISSELL Stomp 'N Go Stain Lifting Pads! Although the marinara and ketchup were not fully removed, they are lighter... and if this test had been on my own carpet, I'm sure I would have done a better job rubbing up all of excess better than I did on these samples.
The results on the grape juice as well as the strawberry jam were very impressive and overall, I'm thrilled that this is a product designed with consumers' busy lifestyles in mind. Whether you have kids or pets or live alone, it is inevitable that there will be messes and spills. But BISSELL has made it possible to lessen the amount of stress and work that you have to put in and instead leave you with a cleaner carpet and a fresh scent.
I'm looking forward to having these Stomp 'N Go Stain Lifting Pads on hand in the future for many more unexpected spots and stains. Retailing for $4.99 for a pack of five pads, you'll find more information about this innovative new product on BISSELL's website and keep an eye out for these boxes at Kmart, grocery stores and select Walmart stores.
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of BISSELL and received a party kit and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Okay, you do know this is genius right? I need to get these stat!
Some of those are actually really darn impressive. I mean, they lightened a HECK of a lot!
Now they just need to make them in a variety of sizes.
Now that is impressive! I love the fact that you used all the different things that most of our kids manage to find away to get onto our carpets at some point or another.
I agree with blueviolet, I hope they start making these in a bigger size. Great review Xenia :)
Wow these are wonderful. Much better than getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing.
With 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 kids....and light carpet (ugg) in 3 rooms, I just need to make some stomp and go shoes and walk around with these things on all day. I am going to have to try some!
