Halloween Treats from The Swiss Colony {Review & Giveaway}

With Halloween right around the corner, that means there are pumpkins to carve, costumes to pick out, and candy to purchase (and hopefully not have completely eaten before trick-or-treaters arrive). How did this turn into yet another holiday that snuck up on me?

As much fun as the planning and preparing is for the kids and I, when it comes to giving a gift that will be truly enjoyed, I'm always looking for something that the entire family can enjoy. After having been introduced to The Swiss Colony for holiday gifts and Easter treats in the past, I had no doubt that they would be able to find a way to make Halloween just as enjoyable for all of us.

With everything from traditional baskets to meats and cheeses to decadent desserts, the hardest part about shopping at The Swiss Colony is deciding which tasty treat to to send to friends, family or colleagues to make their day. Whether you are shopping for a Halloween accent or an eye-catching box of goodies, it doesn't take much browsing before your mouth is watering at page after delicious page.

After drooling over all of the cookies, cupcakes and petit fours, when the Black Cat Truffles arrived, they were just the thing to delight kids as well as adults.

Yum! Even before I had it open, I was admiring the cute presentation and effort that The Swiss Colony had put in to making this box ready for gift-giving.

As for the 12 creamy milk chocolate truffle centers that are blanketed in Swiss blend darker chocolate? They are adorable as well as very, very tasty.

As I had suspected, these Black Cat Truffles have been a bit hit ever since they arrived. The chocolate is smooth and delicious and they melt in your mouth just enough that the flavor is rich without being overpowering. Mmmm!

Retailing for $19.95 for 12 of the ½-oz cats, giving a box of these treats would be a very sweet way to celebrate the Halloween holiday for family, friends, teachers, and more. Just be warned that once you've sent a gift from The Swiss Colony, your recipient might not want anything else in the future!

With everything from cute to practical, the selection at The Swiss Colony is filled with classics as well as new additions. Each time I've visited I've found new things that I want to try! With October quickly coming to an end, it's already time to start looking at their great options for Thanksgiving and Christmas to plan ahead for something mouth-watering and decadent.
