When it comes to children's television, there are always going to be the favorite, must-have, asked-for-first characters that just can't compare. Around here, Caillou is one name that is mentioned time and time again, as both Big Sister E and Little Sister B are enthralled with the adventures and tales that this preschooler goes through on a daily basis.

Whether he's having fun at home being a typical 4-year-old with his toddler sister, Rosie, expressing his imagination at Play School with his friends, or helping out Mom and Dad around town, we have enjoyed Caillou on TV for quite some time now. Every time I think that he will start to lose his appeal, Little Sister B begs to see him again!

Considering how much time he spends on our television screen, there was zero doubt in my mind that the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season would be with the Caillou: Caillou's Holiday Favorites 3-Disc DVD Collection.

There’s so much to do, including picking out a pumpkin, jumping in fall leaves, making Thanksgiving dinner and decorating the Christmas tree. Although Caillou realizes that there is work involved in preparing for the holidays, he also learns positive lessons such as persistence and overcoming his fears.

Caillou’s Winter Wonders – In this compilation of four Caillou episodes, your child can enjoy Caillou the Snowman, Caillou’s Christmas, It’s Cold Outside, and Winter and join in the fun of exploring and discovering a variety of winter activities and learning about various holiday traditions. My kids have been eagerly awaiting a large snowfall so that they can build snowmen and make snow angels, so they love that Caillou partakes in the same.

Although all three DVDs include the special features such as coloring pages and games, we have yet to even have to use them because the episodes themselves have been entertaining enough for my girls. We've watched each disc time and time again and I'm sure that will continue on throughout the rest of the holiday season and well into next year. Caillou is always a hit!
