The holidays are nearly here and that means that gifts are on the forefront of shoppers' minds across the country. Whether you have a long list or a short one, there are always the neighbors, teachers, coworkers, and more that you don't want to leave out... but what is there to get for them?
Fortunately, just in time for holiday gift giving, Stampin' Up!, the company known for amazing card making, paper crafting, scrapbooking supplies, and more has introduced their innovative new Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps. Your recipient will love these unique and tasty treats and you'll be thrilled with being able to create beautiful, hand-stamped cookies in a flash!
Allowing crafters to take their love of stamping into the kitchen, the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps are a nearly foolproof way to create professional-looking, fun cookies for any occasion. Simply fit a silicone stamp over the bottom of the wooden handle and press into your homemade or store-bought dough and you're ready to bake!
Considering that I always have aspirations to give gifts that the kids and I have made, yet never seem to find the time (nor have gift-worthy results), I was thrilled to let Stampin' Up! make it look as though I have talent in the kitchen. When a box of their high quality products arrived, all that we needed to do was add the cookie dough and we were set to go.
I felt my creativity kick in just looking at these great products! They included the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps ($16.95), Kraft Gift Box, set of 4 ($2.95), 2⅜" Scallop Circle Punch ($16.95), Homemade Stamp Set ($8.95), Very Vanilla 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock ($5.95), Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine ($2.95), and a Basic Black Stampin' Spot (not sold individually).
Individually, these products can add to any project or be the start of a new one... and together, they were just that! Although I'd like to say that the girls and I started by mixing up our own sugar cookie or shortbread recipe, but with the lack of time that we've had lately, we opted for the pre-made instead.
Fitting the silicone snowflake stamp onto the handle, it was easy to get started stamping away.
I quickly discovered that by generously dusting the cookie dough and stamp with flour that it helped to keep everything from being too sticky. But by just pressing firmly down...
...we soon had a whole tray of snowflake cookies ready for baking!
Couldn't be easier! After baking our cookies in the oven as needed, we pulled them out to find that although the snowflake image hadn't turned out quite as clearly as we had hoped, they were still pretty cute! Plus, as this was so much easier than using regular cookie cutters and the kids had such a good time doing it, I'm sure that we'll try again with different doughs in hopes of slightly clearer snowflakes in the future.
Using the rest of our great Stampin' Up! supplies, we were easily able to create some simple hand-stamped packaging to accompany these homemade cookies and we were all set to give these as holiday gifts to our friends and neighbors.
The finished product has a personal message to our recipients with our names on it
Even better, as well as being food-safe and very child-friendly, the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps are easy-to-clean and dishwasher safe. No more spending time scrubbing dishes afterward, I was able to wipe off the wooden handle and then simply drop the silicone stamps into the dishwasher and put them away clean and dry without any effort.
I have no doubt that we'll be making many more snowflake cookies this winter... and then be pulling out the heart stamp as soon as Valentine's Day draws near! The combination of the ease of use, the fact that the kids had so much fun stamping on the cookie dough, and the humorous-yet-tasty results has made me the newest Stampin' Up! fan - what a fun way to combine crafting with baking for the whole family!
Even better, I love the idea of giving the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps as a gift in a basket along with cookie making ingredients. That way your lucky recipient will not only get to relish the delicious cookies, but continue to use and enjoy the stamps themselves for years to come.
For over 20 years they've been building relationships through sharing the joy of creativity and Stampin' Up! is ready to make your holidays special with these and many other innovative products. You'll find a huge selection of their amazing products for sale in the Stampin’ Up! online store and you can also locate a demonstrator in your area to help you place orders from the Idea Book & Catalog, earn free products, and give you fun craft ideas.
And, thanks to their generosity, one person will be prepared for holiday cookie making that is sure to please, because...
