Spreading Smiles with Everything Happy Blankies and Pals {Review & Giveaway}

As much as parents might try to deny it, on some level our kids have us pretty well wrapped around their finger, don't they? No matter if you're on the softie end of the spectrum and give in to most requests or you find yourself playing the bad cop roll more often than not, it's still pretty safe to say that deep down we would do anything and everything for our children.

For me, it seems like no matter how hard I try, there's something about my girls' smiles. From the time that they were infants, I just couldn't keep myself from acting silly or making goofy faces if it had the possibility of resulting in a big grin. In 2008, 7-year-old David Holdridge had the idea to combine the two things that make kids the happiest – blankies and stuffed animals – to create something that would make the world smile. Soon afterward, Happy Blankie came to be and David knew his idea was a great one because whenever anyone felt (or saw) a Happy Blankie they couldn't help but break into a huge smile.

Then his mom, Emily, had a second great idea – give a blankie away to a child in need for every blankie they sold and let kids choose where they wanted it to go. Thus, "One to Love, One to Give" became the core philosophy of Happy Blankie. So now David and his family and friends are making people happy TWO blankies at a time as their products are distributed to children in hospitals and orphanages all over the world.

Their classic Happy Blankie comes in three different sizes and eight adorable characters (as well as three other styles) and when the medium size of Chase the Happy Dog arrived, he had me smiling before he was even unfolded.

Made of the most luxurious plush minky fabric and the silkiest charmeuse satin, this 100% polyester blankie is one of the softest things I've ever felt. As I opened Chase up to his full 42" x 38" size, I knew that this was truly the ultimate blankie gift for any child.

Embroidered with a huge cheek-to-cheek smile and a plush embossed ribbon nose, there's just no way to not be happy when you're enjoying Chase's cute face and extra softness.

The entire front of this blankie is lavishly comfortable with its minky center and satin trim...

...and the back is a flowing, smooth expanse of charmeuse satin that is only interrupted with Chase's extremely cute tag.
