Born with a maternal instinct, my girls are eager to have a chance to take care of their own baby, just as their mother did for them. They dress them, feed them, cuddle them, rock them and more, all the while encouraging and growing their need to nurture, provide for and cherish a little one.
The only thing that makes it better? Having the chance to play with an adorable baby doll and accessories with a friend! Now, thanks to Little Mommy, that is easier than ever with their Little Mommy Day games and activities.
After having loved our Little Mommy Baby So New dolls earlier this year, my girls couldn't have been more excited to not only welcome new friends to our home, but to have their own Little Mommy Day filled with food, DIY printables, laughter and fun.
In preparation for our own Little Mommy Day, we first had to check out the stars of the day, our Sweet As Me dolls and their fashion accessories.
Adorable! Big Sister E and Little Sister B were immediately enthralled with these dolls and loved that they were "big girls" that had come to play. Right away we had to admire their smooth, silky hair, their sweet, friendly faces, and their embellished, sassy fashions.
It took only a minute before the girls set about changing their Sweet As Me dolls' clothes, all the while giggling over the plush pajamas, tiny ballet slippers, fluffy tutus, bright headband, and more.
After the girls decided that their Sweet As Me dolls were sufficiently dressed for our Little Mommy Day, we moved on to see the games, activities, recipes and more that Little Mommy has provided on their Facebook page. There are even fun tips from Rosie Pope, host of Bravo's "Pregnant in Heels" to include!
To be sure that we didn't forget anything, I kept the Little Mommy Day Event Guide handy nearby. That way I could glance over to know that we hadn't missed any of the creative and unique aspects that Little Mommy had created for the day.
From Little Mommy Day Invitations to get the day planned, a My Little Scrapbook to preserve valuable moments in one place, Little Mommy Flashcards to help teach the ABCs, and much, much more, I love the way that Little Mommy has thought of everything. Even better, you have the easy ability to customize your Little Mommy Day by picking and choosing what works best for your young attendees... and all of the downloads are FREE!
Want to include snacks (what kids wouldn't?) in your day? Plan to include the adorable and tasty Giggly Grahams. Want to commemorate the arrival of your daughter's new My Little Mommy doll in her life? Pull out the paints and print off the Hand & Footprint Memento pages to forever capture and display this moment. There are sure to be plenty of options that girls of all ages will enjoy!
Unsurprisingly, Big Sister E and Little Sister B were more than happy to try out every possible game and activity possible at our Little Mommy Day, and the laughter and giggles seemed to never end. We ate, we cut, we colored, we painted, we crafted... what more could girls want from an afternoon?
They were especially big fans of the Giggly Grahams and have asked for them every day since! |
Whether her first baby doll or just one of many, Little Mommy dolls will be a welcome addition to any young girl's family of dolls. The adorable toddler-age Sweet As Me dolls are available in store or online at Amazon.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com and more for $19.99. Even better, this doll comes in multiple ethnicities and a large number of different outfits so that every young mommy can choose the one that best represents her skin tone and individual style.
And, thanks to the generosity of Little Mommy, one person will have a soft and cuddly newborn of their own and her toddler big sister to bring home, because...
One lucky person will win a Little Mommy Sweet As Me Doll AND a Little Mommy Baby So New Doll!

Oh, it's been too, too many years since I was a little girl playing with dolls. However, I do remember that my mother made all my doll clothes, blankets, hats, panties, etc. I did the same when my girls were growing up. I recall a special doll my oldest daughter had. A "Little Miss Sunbeam" doll that she won as a contestant in the Sunbeam Bread promotion. This "little girl" is now 51, so you know that has been a very long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI COMMEND you on a beautifully written review and agree completely with your take on girls and play time with their dolls. They do tend to come by their mommy play naturally and it is also a way they prepare themselves to be equipped to pass along to their own babies the love that was shown to them as a baby or small child.

My grandmother gave me my first doll. it was fabric but with a realistic plastic head with eyes that closed when she was lying down. Her hands were just stitched and I would, ugh...suck on her hands for comfort.
