When it comes to making a difference, Dollar General's Everyday Heroes program has already proven that this year-long program is doing a great job honoring community heroes – from the firemen and veterans to teachers and caregivers.
Launched in February to celebrate Black History Month and continued on last month recognizing Moms as Every Day Heroes, June has been spent honoring the men and women of the U.S. military and their families.
Throughout the month, Dollar General has teamed up with Procter & Gamble to honor those true Every Day Heroes who have made sacrifices for their families, their communities and their country and have volunteered to serve and protect us.
Along with valuing these heroes and their experiences, Dollar General offers many career opportunities for returning veterans to help repay them for their service. In fact, Dollar General is the winner of the 2011 Military Officers Association of America Distinguished Service Award and was recognized in GI Jobs magazine's list of Most Military Friendly Employers.
Taking things one step further, Dollar General is giving the public the opportunity to honor the military heroes in their own lives and communities by uploading a video about them. Find out more at dollargeneral.com/everydayheroes.
Don't let another day go by without thanking those people that you know that are Every Day Heroes — and submitting a video is a very unique and special way to do just that!
Thanks to the generosity of Procter & Gamble, one person will have a little extra to be thankful about this month as well, because...
One lucky person will win a

ReplyDeleteI just got back from the grocery. It's hot, the lines were long. That cashier was a hero - she kept the line moving and ignored that those 2 customers totally caused every issue that came up with their orders. We're used to reading about road rage on the road, but these customers brought in their frustrations and took it out on someone who could of lost her job ifshe stood up for herself. She doesn't get paid enough to take abuse, yet she was so gracious.
