Innovative Zume Games Provide Instant, Portable Fun for All Ages {CANZ Review & Giveaway}

While I'm the first one to make a run for the air conditioning when the temperatures get too hot, that doesn't mean that I don't love to enjoy a gorgeous summer afternoon outdoors as well.

In fact, if the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and we're able to throw open the sliding door and burst out into the fresh air, that's a sure way for my family to start a day of fun. If we can enjoy it with our friends and family, well, that's even better.

Which is why I love when I'm introduced to a company like Zume Games that makes it quick and easy to grab every free moment outside and turn it into an entertaining, laughter-filled good time thanks to their unique and innovative games.

A new line of games from Escalade Sports (America's leading manufacturers of home recreational indoor/outdoor sports products and accessories including table and lawn games, basketball systems, archery, fitness, playsets, darts, dartboards, billiards and table tennis), the Zume collection of games includes five family-friendly options that all ages can enjoy: CANZ, SPINNERZ, TENNIZ, DIZK and TOZZ.

While all five looked colorful, inventive and engaging, we were eager for CANZ to arrive so that we could see just how much delight it could provide this summer.

The new toss target game with a twist, CANZ can be played indoors or outdoors for nearly-instant safe play. I appreciate that Zume Games not only included the six air funnels and the ground target, but that they packaged it all in a portable carrying case with a comfortable handle.

It's just too easy to pick this up and bring it along for a day at the beach, a night of entertaining on the deck, tailgating with buddies, or into the living room to cheer up a rainy day!

As I pulled out the included pieces, it was easy to see that, along with being very durable, each one would pop together in minutes for assembly... meaning barely any wait time before jumping into fun, casual family competition.

There are also ground stakes tucked inside the case if you prefer to secure the target to the ground

After sliding the short poles into their cases along the perimeter of the ground target, we were ready!

While CANZ comes with included instructions for scoring (for example, one point for landing on the rim and three points for in the hole) and play (e.g. standing 15 feet from the target), I love that you can truly adapt the game for various age and skill levels. The brightly-colored air funnels have an aerodynamic shape and are extremely lightweight and easy to hold, so you simply pick one up and give it a toss!

Whether you are able to master the spiral throw or attempt to bounce the funnel off of the ground and up into the target (which takes definite skill!), CANZ provides hours of underhand, overhand and creative tossing fun.

While we haven't yet kept score while playing (Zume Games suggests that the first person to 21 points wins), we have had a great time simply playing over and over again and cheering each other on to personal victory.

Even though CANZ is designed for ages 8+, Big Sister E and Little Sister B have had no problem joining in on the action and have asked that we play often. They are each able to reach right inside the target to retrieve the funnels...

...and enjoy using their imagination with them in between turns!

Each time we have pulled out CANZ, we have been impressed with the sturdy, well-made craftsmanship. Whether in our own yard or brought with us elsewhere, we love knowing that we have a fun, memorable way to bring everyone together.

And, when we're done for the day, the whole thing condenses down into the case for portability or storage quickly and easily. No matter where we go, we'll never have to be without entertainment!
