With clear instructions and a very intuitive design, it only took around 10 minutes before I had this floor lamp constructed and two 100-watt medium base bulbs (not included) screwed into place.

As I placed this in the room, I was happy to see that adjusting the height of the lamp couldn't be much easier. Simply loosen and tighten the hand-level knob on the base...

...and the entire lamp can be placed anywhere between 55" and 71" tall. Talk about versatile!

After adjusting this lamp to just the right height, I appreciate that the white linen drum shade measures 16" across by 4" high and includes an acrylic diffuser on the bottom so that I don't have to worry about any harsh glare coming directly from the lightbulbs.

I love how easy it is to access the bulbs when they need to be changed (simply lower the height of the base and reach right in the top!) and the on/off floor switch means that there is never any bending or reaching to try to find a knob or pull chain.

I couldn't ask for much more in a high quality lamp! The Nils Adjustable Floor Lamp has added a great deal of much-needed light to our room, while the combination of the satin nickel finish and white drum easily blends with the decor. While we have this currently on carpet, I wouldn't have any problem moving it to one of our rooms with hardwood, as the bottom of the base is fully lined to prevent any slipping or scratches.
