In my never-ending quest to make our house more organized, we've made attempts to donate, sell or gift items that we no longer use or need. From baby clothes to outgrown toys to how in the world did we end up with half a dozen aprons? Who needs that many aprons? we've been slowly (very slowly) going through the process.
However, there's one room where the clutter seems to never decrease: our master bathroom.
While I like the look of the pedestal sink, it quite literally means that there is no counter top or storage. And although we have a tall storage cabinet only five steps away and a shorter storage cabinet only two steps away, I still can't seem to ever find a place to put things down — particularly larger items. After all, I can squish my compact back in there somewhere, but my hair dryer or curling iron? Not exactly.
Fortunately, that is no longer a problem either, as I've now been introduced to the instant way to add space to your bathroom and a place to put down your hot styling tool, in the Hot Iron Holster.
The brand new home and beauty product that adds counter space to pedestal sinks, brings order to cluttered counter tops, and makes a perfect gift for women everywhere, the Hot Iron Holster is unique, portable and convenient.
The heat resistant proprietary silicone material allows the Hot Iron Holster to cling to any smooth surface without suction cups or adhesives, so you simply put it in place and you're instantly rewarded with a safe place to put a heated flat or curling iron.
Thinking that I could use all the extra storage that I could possibly find, I was ready to put the Hot Iron Holster to use as soon as it arrived.
As I pulled my Hot Iron Holster out of the box, it was easy to see the thought that went into making the design as functional as possible (while still looking good, of course).
The front consists of a roomy pocket for holding styling tools and a flap that grips household surfaces. Combined, they provide a clever and simple solution for managing your hot styling tools and hair accessories.
As the Holster works best when it and the surface you are adhering it to are clean and dry, I first had to go to work getting my sink in a little better shape. Once that was done, it took all of four seconds to press the flap onto the sink and see that it gripped firmly to the surface.
All that was left was to put it to use!
When I'm not in the process of using my hair dryer, curling iron or flat iron, the Hot Iron Holster is a great little storage compartment for anything from brushes to makeup to my loose bottles of hair products.
However, when I'm in the process of fixing my hair, that is when the Holster truly shines. As it is heat resistant to 500°F, I'm never worried about leaving my curling iron in there while it is heating up, cooling down or between uses. I'm able to easily stick it right in and know that it is securely held in place for my convenience as well as the safety of my daughters, if they happen to walk in.
If I decide to move the Hot Iron Holster to another location (it clings to any smooth, non-porous surface including tile, wood, laminate, granite, metal, glass, vinyl, porcelain, plastic, leather and more!) I simply lift it right off of my sink and am ready to go.
I was initially skeptical that it would continue to firmly stick once it had been taken on and off a few times, however, the Holster quickly proved me wrong as it held tight to every surface that I tried it on (and, if it does get dirt or lint on it that interferes with its performance, just rinse it clean with water or rubbing alcohol and it's good as new once again).
Great for anyone that could use a little extra counter space (are there people who don't?), the Hot Iron Holster provides an easy, convenient, non-permanent way to take the hassle out of a lack of space or dealing with a hot styling tool.
Currently available in pink, purple, black and white (with plans to add more colors in the future), the Hot Iron Holster has a suggested retail price of $24.95. To find out more about this innovative product, visit HotIronHolster.com and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
Other than the Hot Iron Holster I was provided to facilitate my review, I was not compensated or enticed to do this review in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of this product.

This is a very smart idea! Wish I thought of it :)
That is a great idea. I don't have a counter in my bathroom tho, so I'd have to put it in my kitchen I think, lol
I like this idea. It'd be a great reminder that it's hot.
This is a super invention. I definitely need one of these. I'm always leaving my hot iron laying on the counter, and I'm afraid I'm going to burn the house down one day =/
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome idea

dang awesome invention!!! Love the colors!!! myamurphy@mail.com
Such a great idea! How convenient to have it right by the sink but not taking up any counter space. Plus, the fact that it is heat resistant is a huge thing. My daughter often leaves her straightener out for it to cool, but we have to make sure nothing touches it. This sounds like a really amazing product.
