Buy, Send, Receive and Store Gift Cards with the Gyft App {Review & Amazon or Sephora Gift Card Giveaway}

Gyft logo
We have a drawer in our kitchen that has become the catch-all place for random things to go to rest. I wouldn't exactly call it a junk drawer, but it is a collection of clipped coupons, screws that belong to something-or-other, and, the most recent addition, gift cards.

It's not that we don't use gift cards, because we do, it just seems like they end up sitting there waiting for us to remember that we have them. Are we going to that store? Do we want to eat at that restaurant? Wasn't there a reason that we were going to head in the direction of that mall? It seems like for every gift card that we actually remember to use, another birthday, holiday or event comes by and we receive a few more!

Aside from trying hard to remember to carry the cards everywhere we go in hopes that we'll use them, is there really any other option out there?

The answer is now YES, thanks to Gyft.

Gyft app

A mobile gift card platform that enables consumers to manage their gift card needs, Gyft allows users to ditch the plastic and use their mobile device to store, send and redeem gift cards. The company has more than 100 partnerships with retailers such as Gap, Sephora and Lowe's, so no matter where you shop, it will surely be covered!

Using Gyft couldn't be much easier, as you simply download the app to your phone (FREE in the App Store and coming soon to Google Play for Android) and start uploading your existing plastic gift cards, purchasing new gift cards or sending cards to your friends.

Gyft review

Uploading our miscellaneous gift cards has been a snap, as I was able to use my phone to take a photo or by just entering the information right into Gyft. Instead of standing in the checkout line at Target and wishing that I had brought along all of the random gift cards that we had laying around at home, I can just whip out my phone and have them right at hand.

Redeeming the gift cards in stores only takes a minute, as I have been able to have the cashier scan the gift card barcode right off of my phone or by reading off the numeric code for them to type in (gift cards can also be used online by entering the code as well).

As well as managing all of your own gift cards in one place (thank goodness I no longer have to go dig through the drawer for them!), Gyft can easily integrate with all of your social networks so your friends' information can safely be stored right in the app. What this means for you is the ability to get notifications about upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions... a relief for those of us who have a hard time remembering much of anything these days.

Plus, once you've realized that your niece's birthday is right around the corner, it only takes a few taps to directly send her a gift card to her favorite store through Facebook, email or text. Instead of frantically rushing around to purchase and mail a present, you can take care of your next gift purchase whenever and wherever it is convenient for you.

Gyft app

The gift card market runs around $100 billion in the U.S. alone, so it is about time that there is a way to focus on making it easier for all of us to utilize them on a mobile device. As Gyft is a unique platform (different from the many sites and ways that are out there to trade or sell gift cards), it is a win-win way for customers to buy, store, and send gift cards, while retailers are able to increase their brand visibility, shopper interaction, increase gift card redemption rates and more.

In addition, right now when you download Gyft, you'll receive a FREE $5 gift card! This is an unlimited offer, so be sure to take advantage of this great gift today!

Thanks to the generosity of Gyft, one person will soon be able to enjoy an extra gift to a special shopping location as well, because...

One lucky person will win a $10 gift card to their choice of Amazon.com or Sephora!
