Case in point: a recently trip to the movies in which he couldn't leave the house until every pocket in his coat was filled with something being smuggled into the theater. But hey, who am I to say something when he's figuring out the best method to hide two juice boxes, one can of soda and three plastic bags of homemade popcorn?
But what matters is that a movie-going good time was had by all... which is why I know that, no matter if there is anything illegal going on or not, they would also have a blast celebrating the release of The Weinstein Company's new film, Escape from Planet Earth!
Hitting theaters this Friday, February 15th, Escape from Planet Earth is a newly animated film that the whole family is sure to enjoy.
This 3D comedy catapults moviegoers to planet Baab where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero to the blue alien population. A master of daring rescues, Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the quiet aid of his nerdy, by-the-rules brother, Gary (Rob Corddry), head of mission control at BASA.
When BASA's no-nonsense chief Lena (Jessica Alba) informs the brothers of an SOS from a notoriously dangerous planet, Scorch rejects Gary's warnings and bounds off for yet another exciting mission. But when Scorch finds himself caught in a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker (William Shatner) it's up to scrawny, risk-averse Gary to do the real rescuing.
As the interplanetary stakes rise to new heights, Gary is left to save his brother, his planet, his beloved wife Kira (Sarah Jessica Parker) and their adventure-hungry son Kip (Jonathan Morgan Heit)!
To extend the fun of this movie even further, be sure to visit EscapeEarthMovie.com for photos, videos, characters, games and more, and connect with Escape from Planet Earth on Facebook as well.
Better yet, to elevate the viewing experience, download the FREE Escape from Planet Earth app available now for iOS as well as for Android to enjoy a storybook, photo bombs, the ability to purchase movie tickets through Fandango and more.
Whether you go to the movies often or are looking for a fun way to surprise your kids, gather the whole family and head to the theater this weekend to see Escape from Planet Earth! As well as the PG rating, this movie has received the seal of approval from the Parents Television Council, so you know it is going to be appropriate for everyone to see.
Ready to celebrate the release of this out-of-this-world film? One person is going to be even more excited about these alien creatures, because...

It depends on what you like to see. "Searching for Sugar Man" is an amazing documentary. Something with a foreign flavor would be "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." If you don't mind foreign films, the French film "The Chorus" is excellent. (I'm assuming you are seeing all of the normal ones that everyone talks about.)
The movie I recommend now is Avitar. It is enjoyable. it is responsible. It is cool to look at and just watch. It has many layers depending on your mood.
