I have never denied that I have aspirations to do a better job around our house when it comes to the cooking and cleaning, but it seems that they always stay just that: aspirations.

With cooking, I find myself making the same handful of meals each week that we always eat because they're easy and I know that they are guaranteed to make everyone happy. With cleaning, well, that's another story.

I know there are some people that don't mind scrubbing the counters, shining the mirrors, and washing the floors, but I'm just not one of them. Don't get me wrong, I love it when my house is spotless and sparkling clean, I just don't want to put in the time and effort to get it that way... particularly when it seems like the kids will have it dirty again by the time I turn around.

When it comes to our tile and hardwood floors, we banished the traditional mop and bucket a long time ago. Who wants to deal with it being all slimy while having to ring out dirty water and have it drip all over? No, thanks. We also tried one of those cleaning systems where you attach a disposable pad each time, but I wasn't a big fan of that either. How many of those pads do I actually end up using each time? And do they have to cost that much?

Fortunately, thanks to Rubbermaid and their new and improved Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop, our floors have never been more efficiently, eco-friendly or easily cleaned.

When the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop arrived, the length of the box made me pretty certain that there was going to be no assembly required before the floors could be on their way to sparkling.

Sure enough, once I had pulled it out of the box, this lightweight, easy to use mop was pretty much ready to go. 

Immediately I noticed that the simple and thoughtful features that Rubbermaid included when creating this spray mop made it convenient, versatile and able to be used by nearly anyone in the family.

The removable, refillable 22 oz cartridge pops in and out of its holster with ease and can be filled with whatever solution you prefer. From plain water to a store-bought liquid or one that you create yourself, just pour it right in and pop the bottle back into place.

Then, located right on the handle of the Spray Mop, the ergonomic trigger conveniently dispenses liquid in a wide spray stream (you're able to dispense as much or as little as you need) to cut down on your overall cleaning time.

Including one large microfiber cleaning pad (which picks up 50% more dirt and dust per swipe than traditional mops), I've found that this thick, durable, reusable pad easily removes dust, dirt and bacteria on all floor types, including hardwood, vinyl, laminate and tile.

To top it off, when I'm done I simply peel the pad right off and toss it into the laundry room to be washed at my next convenience — it is machine washable up to 100 times!

As an added bonus to this new version, the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop now also includes a a non-scratch scrubber on top of the mop head, so it only takes a simple flip and you're ready to loosen stubborn spots as you go.

Light enough that both of my kids can easily push it around, the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop is plenty tall so it can be used by all heights and no one will have to bend or hunch to move it.

Even though I'm short, I love being able to push this into every nook an cranny (the base twists and turns in every direction)... or have my little helpers do it for me!
