Stylish, Colorful, Comfortable and Fun Children's Clothes for Summer from Gymboree {Review & $100 Gift Card Giveaway}

Although I had a sickening feeling for a while that spring was never going to truly arrive here in the Midwest, the sun is finally shining, the birds are joyfully singing and there are flowers blooming just about everywhere I look.  

Ahhhhhh.

But along with the warmth, I have been beyond thrilled to ditch the winter coats and snow boots and pull open the doors to my daughters' closets and see the adorable and affordable fashions awaiting them inside.

After all, with the countless number of mix and match outfits and accessories for girls (as well as boys and babies) available from Gymboree in bright colors, there's just no way to see these bold designs and not have a smile on your face.

The girls and I were excited to head to our local Gymboree to see the fun spring and summer styles in person and, just from glancing at the bright colors and the sale signs through the windows, we were definitely ready to shop!

I mean, come on. The cuteness in every direction? You're killing me here, Gymboree!

Although we didn't spend any time over in the boys' section, a quick glance told me that Gymboree makes it easy to dress him up or down, with a variety of plaids, colored khakis, graphic tees, cargo pants, jeans and much more.

For girls, on the other hand, it's easy to give her lady-like style in kid-friendly cotton. Whether you're looking for floral prints, stripes, bold designs or simply solid basics, you will be sure to find the perfect spring and summer items with all of the sweet girly details she'll love.

Complete the look with flip flops or ballet flats and headbands, jewelry or sunglasses in bright, fun colors and you just can't go wrong!

I love the way that Gymboree makes their clothing so that customers can select just how much they want it to match. If you're into fully matching, then match away! If you'd prefer just to outfit your child(ren) in clothes that complement each other, then it's beyond easy to do that as well.

While my girls had a wonderful time checking out all of the collections (there are even great sales on brand new items already!) we finally made our decisions (which, ahem, was pretty much everything, since we found we had a really hard time putting anything back), and were ready to head home.

Or so we thought. We had the surprise added bonus of shopping during a Gymbucks promotional time (this one is on until July 14, 2013!), meaning that because we spent over $100, we received $50 in Gymbucks — essentially meaning $50 in free Gymboree cash to be redeemed between July 18 and 28, 2013. I wasn't surprised when we arrived home and I laid everything out and noticed all of the bright colors and whimsical patterns, as those are typically what my daughters pick out.

Along with the Flower Swirl Tankini and Flowered Hat that Big Sister E really needed for summer, we picked up four tops, one dress, one pair of shorts and two bracelets... and love each and every one!
