Although I'm still not convinced that all of the subjects and classes that I took in school were really necessary (when was the last time you used Calculus in your everyday life?), I do strongly believe in the overall importance of learning.
Even further, research has shown early exposure to math is as important to a child's long-term academic and career success as early literacy skills – if not more so. However, due to the fear that the subject strikes in the hearts of many, there are far more parents that would much rather pick up a book and continue sounding out syllables than help their kids learn math.
But what if there was a way to ease the fear and anxiety and introduce math as a positive experience from the outset?
There is... nearly. Due to hit the app store next Tuesday, August 13th, say hello to Zorbit’s Math Adventure.
A new app for the iPad that teaches early math skills to ages 3–7, Zorbit's Math Adventure is a preschool app with an engaging storyline and a charming cast of characters.
Kids love the engaging personalities, distinctive voices, and the ability to take part in a series of fun-filled interactive adventures, all the while learning and absorbing math without even knowing it.
A way that my daughter can play a game successfully – and build valuable math skills such as sorting, colors, larger, smaller, in, out, left, middle, right, above, below and so much more – entirely on her own while having a blast?
This is one way for parents to give their kids a smart head start in math (that will last them a lifetime) that I can't wait to download!
In the meantime, let's chat Zorbit's Math!
