I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Maytag. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
While 2012 included a variety of events and occasions in our lives, two that went seamlessly hand-in-hand were Big Sister E starting kindergarten and the arrival of our Maytag Bravos XL High-Efficiency Washer and Dryer.
Because although we already had plenty of laundry that needed to be done, the back-to-school season always seems to increase that chore tenfold. After school activities, sports, recess and more always manages to add to the number of spills, spots and stains that show up on on knees, sleeves and just about everywhere else!
Add that to the homework, lunches to be packed and the 50 other things on our daily schedule and I just don't have time to think about the chaos that we would be in if our Maytag appliances weren't ready and waiting to do their job anytime we need them.
If you missed my posts last year as I gushed and raved, then what you need to know is this: this washer and dryer duo are my own personal superheroes. You can keep your Batman and Robin or He-man and She Ra, just give me my Bravos XL.
The Bravos XL Washer features 13 specialty cycles to make laundry day easier; a smart dial that automatically chooses the options/temperatures/time that works best for what type and color of items I am washing; a timer that lets me know exactly how many minutes are left in the cycle; a huge 4.6 cu. ft. capacity and much more.
Combine that with the 7.3 cu. ft. high-efficiency Bravos XL Dryer that also uses a quick and easy center dial — select what type of items you are drying and the machine will choose the optimum pre-set cycle — and providing the best care for all of our clothing, sheets, towels and more is never a problem.
Because, truly. There are times that I wonder if my kids are just walking destruction zones or if they might actually be purposely putting our washer and dryer to the test...
...but alas, it has all been no match for the Bravos XL team.
Grass, juice, mud, mysterious substances, even a green crayon that went through the washer and dryer (which did not make Mommy happy), they all end up defeated. Once in a while I'll spray a pre-treater on or give a rub with a stain stick, but more often than not, I simply depend on Maytag to do the hard work for me.
This back-to-school season and beyond, I'm looking forward to crossing one thing off of my to-do list thanks to my Maytag Bravos XL High-Efficiency Washer and Dryer. The ease of use, the ability to wash larger loads to cut down on the total amount, and the overall performance are all things that I depend on daily to keep our house running smoothly. Thanks, Maytag!

That does look pretty super! It's so helpful to read longer term reviews, and be assured that a product really does keep working. And I agree, back to school does tend to multiply laundry like crazy!
I need a washer & dryer. I'm tired of toting it all to the laundromat. However since I live alone and don't have a lot of laundry I probably won't get these paragons of laundrydom. That, and they cost more than my first car.
