Stuff, Store, Snuggle & More with Tummy Stuffers {Review}

I'll be the first to admit that I always feel a slight bit hypocritical when I tell my kids to clean up their rooms. After all, as well as remembering my own dislike of putting things away when I was young, I can't claim that my bedroom these days is really as neat and organized as it should be either.

But that's all beside the point.

The point is that when it comes to cleaning up, I look for any and all ways to make it fun and enticing for my girls. A "race" to see if they can put their toys away before I can finish my shower, a "game" of getting clothes put away in the correct drawers, and so on.

Most recently, clean-up time was filled with many more smiles and giggles than usual thanks to the arrival of the As Seen On TV plush sensation, Tummy Stuffers.

Available in six soft, huggable characters — Alligator, Bulldog, Cat, Ladybug, Monkey and Unicorn — Tummy Stuffers are the stuffed animals that need to be "fed." That's right, instead of stuffing filling their middles, these plush pals arrive flat and forlorn, just waiting for your child to clean up their room by feeding toys, clothing or accessories right inside!

Albeit adorable, I was slightly skeptical that simply giving my girls an animal-themed storage bin would really get them all that excited about straightening up. Those kids on the infomercials sure seem enthralled with the idea though, so let's give it a shot!

Tummy Stuffers Unicorn

Right away I realized that Tummy Stuffers are smaller than I had pictured them to be, as the ads show children filling, filling, filling them up. At only 13" tall, how much could they really hold?

Tummy Stuffers inside

As it turns out, a lot.

First, the girls and I examined the durable construction and all of the cute details that go into Tummy Stuffers, as everything from the feet to the hair to the tongue (sticking out) made them smile. And then it was time to put the Tummy Stuffers to work and feed them any mess!

Although it took Little Sister B a bit of extra time to decide exactly what she wanted to store in her Unicorn (I can put my Barbie stuff in there! Or, wait. Maybe my ponies. Or my stuffed animals...), both girls were soon happily making munching noises and placing item after item right into the waiting mouths of their Tummy Stuffers.

There really wasn't anything to it! Before long, a large number of toys had disappeared off of the floor and a happy, puffed out Unicorn sat in their place.

Tummy Stuffers review

To prove to myself that the Tummy Stuffers really did end up holding much more than I had assumed that they would, just take a look at the (eclectic) variety of items that were all inside Little Sister B's!

Tummy Stuffers Unicorn review
That's 10 ponies, 1 tiny bear, 2 smallish monkeys and 1 fairly large dog!

Retailing for $19.99 + shipping & handling, you can check out the full collection of 13" Tummy Stuffers at BuyTummyStuffers.com. Right now when you place your order you'll even receive an 8" mini Tummy Stuffer absolutely free!

Whether your child needs a little push in the clean-up department or you're just looking for a unique and fun way to store and organize toys, clothes, accessories, stuffed animals and more (this would be a really cute way to pack pajamas, a toothbrush and a lovey for a sleepover at Grandma's!), Tummy Stuffers just might be the huggable, loveable gift to make a difference in your home.

Other than the two Tummy Stuffers that I was provided in order to facilitate my review, I was not compensated or enticed to do this post in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion about this product.

These are a lot smaller than I thought they were, and I'm glad. I know my niece really, really wants one for Christmas and she shares a room so she can't do HUG! Will be buying her one for sure now!

My Niece has one of these and boy do they hold a lot. She carries it everywhere she goes. They are really hand to bring in a car you can put a few toys in there and have a pillow too.

I really like the idea of Tummy Stuffers. I'll all for anything which motivates children to do chores (except cash!) These stuffed, or soon to be animals are adorable and I'm now quite sure that i couldn't use one myself.

Those are precious! They totally remind me of those pets that would "have babies" and keep the puppies (or kittens) in their belly. You would velcro them in and voila-- 6 little animals came out! LOL

These are adorable, and a great idea, I don't think there is any child that would not want one of these!
