Ask people here in the Midwest about their wool hats and they'll most likely start describing the practical, functional, durable (itchy) ones that get dug out every year when the temperatures drop.
Notice that there was no mention of stylish in that description? Well, when you have to choose between being warm and being fashionable, crazy wind chills and two feet of snow are easily going to persuade you to pick the former.
This year, however, I've found that there is a happy medium thanks to Dorfman Pacific. Because now that they've introduced their Fall/Winter 2013 Scala Collezione Collection, I know that I can stay warm while still looking good in their LW266 Cadet Silhouette hat.
As one of the largest full-line, in-stock headwear companies in the world, Dorfman Pacific is known for creating pieces that blend fashion and function into items that work for men and women all year round.
Their newest hat, the Cadet Silhouette, is made from boiled wool and is fully weather resistant. As the ultimate cold weather accessory, it has a natural barrier against hot and cold temperatures, eliminates the itchy feeling associated with wool and is a fashionable accessory.
Add in that this hat comes in an array of 10 stylish colors — bestsellers include black, burgundy, charcoal, camel, and olive — that will complement every outfit, and it's no problem to make a fashion statement while out for a walk, running errands, raking leaves and more.
Considering that I'm not a fan of the cold and that my hair nearly always needs some sort of help to not look like a wild mess, I was excited to see the Cadet Silhouette in person just in time for the fall weather.
Created out of 100% wool with a smooth, satin lining, it wasn't hard to see the details that Dorfman Pacific included in this hat to give it a little extra.
The wool is soft and non-itchy, the extra seaming adds attractiveness throughout, the stiff brim stays in place yet is flexible and the large, durable elastic band around in the inside ensures that this one-size-fits-all hat can still feel custom-made for your own noggin.
All in all, this is a great way to top off an outfit with an accessory that looks good and can also keep you warm well into the cooler seasons.
This handy Cadet Silhouette is available now from Hartford York for $30 and is sure to be one that I reach for time after time as the leaves continue to fall.
Find out more about this and all of Dorfman Pacific's beautiful stylings by visiting their website and connecting with them on Facebook and Twitter.
Other than the LW266 hat I was provided by Dorfman Pacific in order to facilitate my review, I was not compensated or enticed to do this review in any way. This post is solely my honest opinion about this product.

Yep, I live here in the Midwest too. I have never been a fan of woolen things because they are itchy. This wool even looks soft. I visited their site and saw other cute hats too.
What a cute hat! Here in Maine, a good warm hat is a necessity. I love that this one has a brim--useful on sunny and snowy days.
My ears are what gets most cold so this wouldn't work for me. Cute on you.

Look how cute you are in that hat. I'll bet my daughter could play that off too.
Very cute hat! I like that it is elasticized for a better fit. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to wool.
Cute hat, not my style though, but I have seen people wearing this.
What a cute hat! And a great price! Perfect for fall and maybe even winter depending where you live. You look great!
I've never liked the way I look wearing a hat. You look very cute though. The hats are really nice.
I have been looking for a hat like this thanks for the review
I love this hat and would definitely wear it. I love that it's made of soft wool too.
What a cute style and it looks like it really keeps your head warm!
How do you keep your ears warm with a hat like this? Have to wear a scarf?

These are adorable hats! I make hats but haven't tried this style as I'm not sure if I can get the brim right - better to just buy them! Nice!
