Triple Chocolate Cookie Balls {No-Bake Recipe}

Kraft logo
There's something special about enjoying chocolate all year long, but when Valentine's Day rolls around, it just doesn't seem right to let the holiday pass without having something a little extra special. It's just tradition, you know?

Although there is no shortage of candy and chocolate found in the stores, I always find it to be a little risky to pick up something generic because I never know how good it is going to taste. Whether I'm purchasing truffles, cheesecake, chocolate fondue or a classic heart-shaped box, the last thing I want is to be dealing with cheap chocolate — the horrors!

Instead, I can always rest assured that I can turn to KraftRecipes.com to find recipes to create my own sweet, delicious and luscious chocolate of all kinds. Why head into the holiday filled with love and sweetness without whipping up something decadent, easy and scrumptious?

This year, I wanted to try something that I knew would make my husband swoon yet didn't require hours of baking or complicated ingredients.

My search came immediately to an end when I stumbled upon these amazingly yummy Triple Chocolate Cookie Balls.

Triple Chocolate Cookie Balls

Prep time: 30 minutes
Total time: 1 hour, 10 minutes
Yields: 42 servings

Ingredients

½ cup cold milk
1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
3 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted
1 oz. BAKER'S White Chocolate, melted

Directions

Stir milk and pudding mix in medium bowl with large spoon just until pudding mix is moistened. Immediately stir in cookie crumbs; mix well.

Note: I found that the easiest way to finely crush the OREO Cookies was to put them right into my food processor and let it do the work for me!

crushed cookies

Scoop 42 (1-inch) balls (using an ice cream scoop makes for quick work) and roll between your palms to smooth. Freeze 10 minutes.

Dip in semi-sweet chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.

cookie balls

Refrigerate 20 minutes or until firm. Drizzle with white chocolate; refrigerate 10 minutes or until firm.

Chocolate Cookie Balls

Oh, my!

These cookie balls have received rave reviews from all testers (everyone says they taste like truffles!) and they're just so easy to make — you don't even have to turn on the oven!

Combine the extremely cute look with the ease of making them and the ultra-chocolate, savory flavor and this is one Valentine's Day treat that I'm sure we'll revisit in future years... not to mention that by simply changing the food coloring added to the white chocolate, these would be fun and festive for Easter, Halloween, Christmas and more!

This month and beyond, be sure to browse the large number of recipes available at KraftRecipes.com to find a huge selection of ideas that are creative, delicious, fun and perfect for enjoying time at home or as a guest with all of your loved ones.

This post is a part of a partnered campaign with Kraft Foods, however, all thoughts and opinions shared are honest and my own.

These Cookie Balls look super easy to make and I'll bet they disappear fast. I've been looking for recipes which use a Cuisinart food processor which I got last month.
