Although it seemed like it might never get here, July has arrived!
After all of the chaos that came along with the end of the school year, registering for summer classes and camps, taking a family vacation and more, I am counting on the arrival of this month to usher in a breath of relaxation...
Not to mention the summer cookouts! Considering that we have a limited window to spend outdoors here in the Midwest, there is no time to waste in planning a fun BBQ or hangout with friends and family. Whether for the 4th of July or simply to kick back enjoy the warmth and sunshine, I find that a casual, fun outdoor gathering never gets old.
Being a vegetarian, I defer all grilling duties to my husband or father-in-law, and instead like to focus my efforts on providing my two staples, yummy desserts and fresh salads. While the former might include just about anything with chocolate, the latter can include just about any favorite crisp, fresh veggies and sweet, summer fruits.
What has me especially excited about summer salads, however, is my recent introduction to the easiest and quickest way to make my very own fresh, custom salad dressings with the GOOD SEASONS Cruet Kit from Kraft!
How great is this? Coming complete with a chic, reusable glass cruet, this kit goes from package to table in nearly no time at all. Simply pour in the designated amount of vinegar and water, add the contents of the GOOD SEASONS Dressing Mix (available in a variety of options such as Caesar, Zesty Italian, Greek, Cheese Garlic and more), cover and shake, and add oil in the pre-marked amount.
Once you've shaken for a final time, you end up with an artfully crafted blend of herbs and spices that taste professionally mixed!
Salad, anyone?
Whether you choose to make a very simple salad with only a few ingredients or you opt to add a unique twist or two (like my homemade candied walnuts, mmm!), you just can't go wrong. The addition of the GOOD SEASONS Cruet Kit really does take things a step further in terms of flavor and I love being able to add just about any kind of fresh dressing I choose!
Want to see the full list of items I included in my bowl? Kraft Recipes is hosting my complete Fresh Balsamic Summer Salad recipe and instructions, so head over today if you're looking for a delicious and simple way to usher in the crisp tastiness of summer.
Whether you are heading to a potluck or simply want a way to add a little more excitement to your family's love for veggies, the GOOD SEASONS Cruet Kit is an affordable, customizable way to shine a spotlight on just how versatile and decadent a great salad can be.

The salad looks and sounds delicious. I didn't know they had different kinds of dressings. The last time I made this kind of dressing they only had one kind. Now I'm definitely going to try the other kinds.
My Mom always mixed her salad dressing. We had a very similar looking Jar. Dinner was always so fresh.
